Former UFC champion Conor McGregor took to social media to praise Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder following their instant classic in Las Vegas – but also took a shot at rival Dustin Poirier in the process.
After dragging himself off the canvas twice, Fury knocked out Wilder in the 11th round to retain his WBC belt in an epic finish to their trilogy of fights.
McGregor praised both men for their ‘honorable showing,’ calling them both winners.
The Irishman also swapped for Poirier for how he celebrated during the duo’s trilogy fight at UFC 264. ‘The Diamond’ defeated McGregor via doctor’s stoppage after the Dubliner broke his leg at the end of the first round.
